Plugin for bbPress

GD Topic Polls Pro is a plugin for WordPress and bbPress, and it works with bbPress topics. The plugin adds templates to allow you to make customization changes in the HTML layout for poll creation forms and polls integrated into the topic.

With Custom Post Type

Polls are registered as custom post types, and because of that, all polls and poll settings are stored in posts and post meta database tables, similar to other post types in WordPress. All votes are stored in the new database table created by the plugin.

Polls in topics

Once the poll is created, it will appear at the top of the topic thread page. Only logged in users can vote, and each user can vote once. But, depending on the settings for the poll, the user can select one response or multiple responses. Poll form includes additional options (to view results, or remove vote) based on the currently logged in user and the settings for the poll.

Poll results are displayed with the use of multi-colored bars, with a number of votes and percentage of total number of votes. Based on global plugin settings, poll can also include list of users who voted for each response.

Poll editors

Poll editor is added to the topic editor form. Users with specific capability (by default all user roles have it) can create new polls when adding new topics. Or, new poll can be added when editing existing topics.

Users can set question and description for the poll, two or more responses, and set different things to control who can vote, if (and when) the poll will close, how the poll results will be displayed, if users can remove own votes and more.
