Once you create simple and custom meta fields, you can organize them into meta boxes and you can assign those meta boxes to posts, terms or users.
Each meta box can be assigned to any of the available post types, taxonomies and user roles. This way you can add metadata to all post types posts, all taxonomies terms and users according to the user role.
Metabox can be rendered with the left or top aligned labels, and displaying field description under the label or field controls. And, meta boxes are fully responsive, so they can fit into smaller screens and rearrange elements. Because of that, you can put meta box in the post edit panel sidebar area too and it will work as you expect it.
Metabox supports tabbed interface for organizing multiple fields better. Each field in the list has the option to start new tab and set name for that tab.
The plugin includes two types of meta boxes. Legacy meta box supports the use of simple meta fields only, for compatibility purposes with old GD Custom Posts and Taxonomies Tools Pro v4 plugin. The another type of meta boxes supports both simple and custom fields.
To work with taxonomy terms, the plugin requires WordPress 4.4 or newer because it needs support for term meta to work. For older WordPress versions, integration with taxonomy terms will be hidden.
